What you can safely check
- Tell us who's in the house
- It changes how we prioritise the call. Say so when you ring.
- Check the filter and look for ice
- A frozen coil needs to thaw before anything can be diagnosed, so starting that now saves time.
- Keep the house cool meanwhile
- Blinds closed on the sunny side, exhaust fans running, open up overnight.
What we do about it
We diagnose properly rather than just topping up refrigerant — if it's low, it leaked, and the leak is the actual repair.
